The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), awardee of the Professional Regulation . Most Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization of the Year 2002, is an organization with a proud historical background which encompasses the history of three architectural organizations that integrated into the UAP:
- Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA),
- League of Philippine Architects (LPA), and
- Association of Philippine Government Architects (APGA).
On December 12, 1974, preceded by months of negotiations, the members of the Boards of Directors of these three organizations signed the Constitution and Bylaws of the new UAP. On March 26, 1975, it received Certificate of Accreditation No. 001 from the Professional Regulation Commission officially confirming UAP as the professional organization of architects in the Philippines is in Muntinlupa city, one of the cities comprising Metro Manila the capital of the Philippines. This chapter was originally called the Ayala Alabang Chapter as then President Felino A. Palafox, Jr. recalled because many of the original members came from the Ayala group of companies. Presently the roster is composed of 120 members.

I’m Arch. Lorenzo Mercado, member of UAP Alabang chapter last 2008, I would like to ask for invitations for the up-coming events. I haven’t receive any invitation after attending the first two events since i got registered in this chapter.
